On October 10, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials issued a report summarizing some of the key public health issues addressed this year in state legislatures. Public health accreditation, shared services, regulating compounding pharmacies, prescription drug abuse, food safety, health equity, and newborn screening are among the topics highlighted in the report.
