NAEMT’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care course (TCCC) was recently recognized by the Board of Critical Care Transport Paramedic
Certification (BCCTPC) as “helping to prepare students to take the TP-C exam.” TCCC introduces evidence-based, lifesaving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield, under the auspices of the PHTLS program. It is the only TCCC course endorsed by the American College of Surgeons.
The new Tactical Paramedic Certification (TP-C) is offered by BCCTPC, our latest partner in advancing EMS careers
through quality education.
The TP-C was developed to establish a single standard for all tactical Paramedics in the U.S. military and law enforcement
communities by validating the essential knowledge and judgment required for safe and competent practice. The exam is based on the 17 critical domains from the 2011 CDC-TIDE workshop and uses standards developed by the Committee on TCCC and the Committee on TECC guidelines, as well as the USSOCOM Tactical Trauma Protocols.
