The Department of Homeland Security Office of Health Affairs distributed a report from the Stakeholder
Meeting on Improving Survivability in IED and Active Shooter Incidents, held February 5-6, in Washington, D.C. More than 250 representatives from state,
local, and federal organizations heard presentations from subject matter experts and participated in panel and group discussions on hemorrhage control,
personal protection and equipment, and interoperability when responding to IED and active shooter incidents. OHA partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response, and the Department of
Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Office of Emergency Medical Services.
