Mission:
The NAEMT Foundation works to strengthen and build the future of emergency medical services. Its mission is to support a better future for EMS through funding EMS education and research.
Challenges facing EMS today include recruitment and retention of EMS practitioners to the field, and the increase in the amount and quality of scientific research that guides the future practice of EMS. The NAEMT Foundation aims to address these challenges and better the future of EMS by:
- Supporting ourtreach programs
- Providing information about EMS careers to young adults
- Funding EMS related scholarships
- Supporting evidence-based EMS research
The Scott B. Frame Memorial Educational Fund is a designated fund which was established in 2001 in memory of Scott B. Frame, MD, who made significant contributions to NAEMT and its PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) program. This is a self-perpetuating fund used to sponsor a yearly lectureship in Scott's honor.
