NAEMT strongly believes that EMS research is essential to the consistent delivery of high quality EMS.

Historically, research has been lacking in the EMS industry. Most of what EMS practitioners do has little or no scientific evidence to support it. And, the evidence that is available is mostly anecdotal. From clinical medicine to operations, there is a lack of research generated scientific evidence within EMS. In an effort to reverse this trend, NAEMT sponsors research that supports evidenced-based and outcome-driven EMS.
