EMS on the Hill Day 2010
The first EMS on the Hill Day was a great success. It included representation from all sectors of the EMS community, with 120 EMS professionals from 40 states and Puerto Rico advocating to more than 160 U.S. Senators and House Representatives.

"I wanted to take a moment to thank NAEMT for allowing me to take part in the first of hopefully many EMS on the Hill Days. It was a tremendous experience that far exceeded my expectations. It's not every day that you get to network with colleagues from across the country with a common goal. From our passion, to our unified voice, I hope our message was heard." Kenneth M. Erikson, EMT-P, Horsham, Pa., and NAEMT grant recipient
"EMS on the Hill Day was fantastic. If I had not received the grant to participate, I would have missed out on this excellent opportunity! Thank you and everyone at NAEMT for this grant from the bottom of my heart. I met with staff of all of my Congressmen. The meetings were very productive and I think I made an impact on the legislation that NAEMT is supporting. Thank you again for this great opportunity." Brad Gronke, MS, EMT, Brookfield, Ill., and NAEMT grant recipient
"EMS on the Hill Day was a HUGE success! Yay EMS! Personal thanks to Senator Grassley from Iowa. He met with us personally and had his staff there also to address each of the issues we raised. Senator Grassley is fabulous about meeting his constituents when we come. Seeing all those EMS uniforms on the Hill was VERY impressive. Let's double the numbers next year!” Jules Scadden, EMT-P, Sac City, Iowa, and NAEMT Advocacy Committee member
"The first annual EMS on the Hill Day was amazing. I had never done anything such as that. Really inspiring - hope more of you can join us next year.” Angel Burba, Immediate Past President, NAEMSE
