National EMS Awards of Excellence

Recognizing outstanding achievement in the EMS profession 

Each year, NAEMT collaborates with other national EMS organizations to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions in EMS.  By submitting a nomination, you not only recognize the candidate, you honor and recognize the EMS profession and all EMS pofessionals who provide quality emergency patient care to their communities every day.

The following National EMS Awards of Excellence will be granted: 

  • NAEMT EMT of the Year, sponsored by Braun Industries 
  • NAEMT Paramedic of the Year, sponsored by Masimo 
  • EMS Educator of the Year, presented by the National Association of EMS Educators and sponsored by Cengage/Delmar
  • EMS Executive of the Year, presented by National EMS Management Association and sponsored by Nasco 
  • EMS Legislator of the Year, awarded by Advocates for EMS 
  • Dick Ferneau Paid EMS Service of the Year, presented by NAEMT and sponsored by Ferno
  • EMS MagazineVolunteer EMS Service of the Year, sponsored by Firecom

All award recipients receive a $1000 award stipend, free travel, lodging for three nights and registration for EMS EXPO.  Awards will be presented at the opening ceremony of EMS EXPO, and recipients will be recognized in EMS Magazine.  In 2010, EMS EXPO and the NAEMT General Membership Meeting will be held in Dallas, Texas.

The EMT of the Year, Paramedic of the Year, Paid Service of the Year and Volunteer Service of the Year awards will also be presented at the NAEMT General Membership Meeting in Dalls on September 28, 2010, and recognized in NAEMT News.

EMT of the Year
