Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS)

Faculty: AMLS Committee

The first education program that fully addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical crises in patients, offering a "think outside the box" methodology, Advanced Medical Life Support is the most comprehensive EMS continuing education course addressing the assessment and management of patients. This just updated course features interactive and exciting additions, including a newly designed AMLS assessment pathway, new book chapters, and new content, including Master Level scenarios.

Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC)

Faculty: EPC Committee

With all newly updated materials, the Emergency Pediatric Care course focuses on the care of sick and injured children, giving students a practical understanding of respiratory, cardiovascular, medical and traumatic emergencies in pediatric patients. Assessment is based upon the Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT), and lessons incorporate the most current pediatric knowledge and skills, as well as Family Centered Care throughout all scenarios, including a component on caring for children with special needs.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) - PHTLS

Faculty: PHTLS Committee

The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) educational program is pleased to host the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care・s (CoTCCC) updated curriculum for the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course. This course is the companion course to PHTLS for the military and for those to be deployed in support of combat operations. The TCCC course addresses factors including the austere and extreme environments in which care is rendered on the battlefield, the need to complete the mission and ensure the survival of the unit as a whole, self-care and buddy care, and the most common causes of death on the battlefield and what the combat medic can do to effectively intervene. Particulars of care are based on the principles taught in PHTLS, with appropriate modifications for the combat and tactical environments.

Beyond the Street EMS Supervisor Workshop

Faculty: Dr. Jay Fitch and Mike Ragone

This workshop helps supervisors of EMS operations think and act like leaders, providing additional training in management effectiveness and skills. Participants acquire essential management skills, from working effectively with different generations and handling conflict to building trust with peers, bosses and other agencies. Attendees learn when to be directive, when to coach and when to delegate - and how to earn respect from the EMS personnel they once worked alongside. Additional strategies include handling complaints effectively and building customer satisfaction. Industry-leading faculty will guide participants in experiential and practical learning sessions.

EMS Safety Course

Faculty: EMS Safety Program Committee

To help promote a culture of EMS safety and reduce the number and intensity of injuries incurred by EMS practitioners in carrying out their work, NAEMT has introduced the all-new EMS Safety course. EMS Safety aims to increase students・ awareness and understanding of EMS safety standards and practices and develop their ability to effectively implement them. EMS Safety is the first national and most comprehensive education program of its kind that teaches techniques on how to best achieve safety on the job. The course covers safety in emergency vehicles, at the operational scene and while handling patients, as well as patient, practitioner and bystander safety and personal health.

Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) – Seventh Edition Instructor Course

Faculty: PHTLS Committee

This instructor course is an intensive eight-hour course for those individuals who have successfully completed a PHTLS provider course. This course is designed to train instructor candidates to conduct provider and refresher courses on the latest PHTLS philosophies and techniques. Individuals selected to attend this workshop will typically be experienced instructors, coordinators, or administrators with proven clinical skills at a minimum level of EMT-Basic. Required: Proof of current PHTLS provider status.
