The work of our association to ensure the provision of outstanding patient care in all communities is detailed in this report. Our efforts to improve the practice of EMS include the development of high-quality education, promotion of innovation, and advocating for our patients and communities.

EMS Preparedness


The findings from a national survey of EMS practitioners and managers is available in the NAEMT National Survey on EMS Preparedness for Disaster and Mass Casualty Incident Response. The report provides insight into the level of proficiency and training of EMS practitioners to provide the medical response expected by communities during disasters and mass casualty incidents.

All Hazards Disaster Response

NAEMT's All Hazards Disaster Response (AHDR) is an 8-hour course designed for EMS practitioners at all levels. AHDR addresses the insufficient training and lack of hands-on experience reported by 64% of the respondents to an NAEMT national survey.
