Based on a vote of its Board of Directors at its mid-year meeting in March, the National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) is formulating a plan to turn over the Pediatric Prehospital Care (PPC) educational program to another organization on or before January 1, 2007.
“This is an excellent program with a dedicated group of faculty and instructors,” said NAEMT President Ken Bouvier. “As the association that founded PPC and led it in its initial growth, we have taken it as far as we can and believe that it can find a place to flourish within the structure of another educational organization.”
No additional details about the future of PPC are available at this time; and currently, no commitment has been made from another organization to assume administration and leadership of PPC.
NAEMT will keep its affiliate faculty, instructors, student and members apprised of the status of PPC as NAEMT’s plan to transition out of a leadership role in PPC is developed.
