NAEMT Releases Public Service Announcement to Educate Public About EMS

In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of emergency medical services in local communities across the United States, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) has released a public service announcement on behalf of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

The NAEMT PSA is designed to educate the American public about emergency medical services. The action-oriented screen shots reflect a multi-part message that stresses four ways in which the public can recognize the value of and support for EMS. These include:

  • Becoming an Emergency Medical Technician;
  • Pulling over when an ambulance approaches;
  • Learning CPR; and
  • Urging elected officials to support EMS.

All of the individuals appearing on screen are real EMS professionals who donated their time to the project without any compensation. Their dedication to the profession typifies the men and women who provide emergency medical services across the nation, all of whom deserve the support and recognition of the media and the public for their selfless work in stressful and dangerous situations.
