Quotes from attendees:

[EMS On The Hill] was by far, one of the most rewarding experiences of my EMS career.  Having an opportunity to network with colleagues from the across the country, along with having the opportunity to visit my Congressional representatives offices was both very humbling and rewarding... I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to educate staff members in the various offices about EMS, the NAEMT and our legislative priorities.

Scenes from a very successful EMS On The Hill Day

NAEMT celebrated a milestone on March 26th, hosting the fifth annual EMS On The Hill Day in Washington, D.C. In spite of strong winds and chilly temperatures, nearly 200 EMS professionals from 42 states and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico spent the day dashing to their record 248 scheduled appointments with members of Congress. EMS participants educated congressional leaders and their staff on the Field EMS Bill – Field EMS Quality, Innovation and Cost-Effectiveness Improvements Act (H.R. 809); membership in the Congressional EMS Caucus; and the Medical Preparedness Allowable Use Act (H.R. 1791).
