In April, NAEMT sent a letter to the Federal Interagency Council on EMS (FICEMS) Chair Edward Gabriel requesting development of a nationally applicable EMS Preparedness Agenda consensus document for the desired level of preparedness and needed training protocols. A letter was also sent to Mike Sprayberry, President of the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) to request NEMA to promote opportunities of medical preparedness training and courses to EMS agencies within all states.
