• Cindy Bussell, Meetings and Leadership Services Manager

  

  Cindy Bussell manages the association's meetings, exhibits, awards programs, leadership travel and governance activities. She also provides support to the NAEMT Foundation Board of Trustees. Cindy has more than 25 years of association management and meetings planning experience. She helped implement a large grant program and was a fundraiser for a charitable organization. A member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives, Cindy holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Ball State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.

• Corine Curd, Manager, North American Education Network

  Corine Curd has worked with NAEMT’s education programs since 1996. In her current role, she manages the process of establishing new NAEMT training centers. Corine also helps training centers to expand the NAEMT education programs they offer. She also supports the network of NAEMT education coordinators in the United States and Canada. Prior to working at NAEMT, Corine enjoyed a successful career in sales. She is currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management through Phoenix University.

• Jenifer Goodwin, Communication Projects Manager

  

  Jenifer Goodwin develops and administers association programs and projects, and writes articles and other publications for NAEMT. Jenifer previously served as associate editor of Best Practices in Emergency Services and author of the 2013-2014 Ambulance Industry Report. Her interviews and analyses have been published in leading EMS and public safety publications, including JEMS and EMS World. Goodwin is also a former staff writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Jenifer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Penn State University.

• Cassie Grainger, Education Projects Manager

  Cassie Grainger is an editorial project manager with experience in content development and production processes. She specializes in task management, process improvement, analysis, and writing and editing. She brings a diverse professional and volunteer portfolio, offering more than 15 years of experience in developing content and curriculum. Her background includes print and digital products related to EMS, healthcare, and defense programs. She earned her bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Maryland, University College, and her master’s degree in English and Creative Writing, Non-fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. Cassie also holds a professional certificate in project management from the Swain Center for Executive Education and Economic Development at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.

• Kathleen “Katie” Herndon, Programs Specialist

  Kathleen “Katie” Herndon, Ph.D., joined NAEMT as a Programs Specialist in 2022. Katie is a nonprofit consultant specializing in strategic planning and capacity building. She has more than 10 years’ experience leading trade associations, nonprofits, and professional networks, including her previous positions as executive director of the Life Sciences Trainers and Educators Network (LTEN), the Marine Technology Society (MTS), the Virginia Land Title Association (VLTA) and the Maryland Land Title Association (MLTA). Under her leadership, these nonprofits grew membership, expanded organizational capacity, and launched world-class educational initiatives. Katie holds a PhD in research psychology, is a certified family mediator, has led numerous research studies in domestic violence prevention and instrument validation, and served as a consular officer with the U.S. Foreign Service in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She’s also the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, is an active Girl Scout, speaks four languages, and has authored several volumes of fiction and nonfiction books, along with textbooks & courses. Katie, who also plays the piano and guitar, lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Artur, and six children.
  
  

• Nancy Hoffmann, Senior Education Publishing Director

  Nancy Hoffmann is a writer and development editor with experience in editorial management, content development, and research. Her background includes work on print and digital medical education textbooks and materials focused on B2B, computer surveillance, allied health, public safety, and healthcare. Most recently, she drove the development of an innovative medical education digital product line and managed an editorial board of 30 physicians, instructors, and students. Nancy has worked for a variety of publishing companies, including Jones & Bartlett Learning/Ascend. She received her bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College and Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College.

• Stacy Jackson, Member Services Representative

  

  Stacy Jackson joined the NAEMT team in 2014. As Member Services Representative, Jackson maintains the records of individual and agency members, as well as other individuals with interest in NAEMT, and responds to member inquiries. She also assists the Member Services Manager in providing administrative support to the Membership Committee. Stacy has more than eight years of administrative experience. Prior to joining NAEMT, she worked as an Executive Assistant to a bankruptcy attorney. Stacy holds an Associate's in Business Administration.

• Kim Champi Krenik, Government Relations Director

  

  Kim Krenik worked for many years as the director of Federal Relations for the New Jersey Hospital Association. She represented the interests and concerns of NJHA members and coordinated advocacy efforts within the state and in Washington, DC. Kim attended Congressional briefings and hearings, and helped draft numerous legislative documents and member advocacy updates. She also served as principle for NJHA's HealthPAC and coordinated political fundraisers and events. Before that, Kim worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She attended the School for International Training in Kenya, Africa, and completed her bachelor's degree at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

• Lisa Lindsay, Assistant Executive Director/Operations Director

  

  Lisa Lindsay, Assistant Executive Director and Operations Director, is responsible for the management of NAEMT's business operations, including finance, technology, member and education services, as well as meetings planning. She has worked at NAEMT since 1994. Lisa is a Certified Association Executive with Associate of Science degrees in computer operations and programming from Phillips College. Prior to working at NAEMT, her association work began as an independent contractor with the Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives.

• Kristen Lovell, Education Editor

  Kristen Lovell is a career medical writer and development editor with experience working in both print and digital publishing. She has a background in developing and producing educational projects for both the student and professional markets. She is experienced in project management, content development, content editing, and research for medical text and reference books, digital educational products, and is a published medical author of both peer-reviewed and general public health articles. Kristen has worked for Mosby, Inc. and Elsevier, Inc., and for many years has operated her own company as a successful publishing services and small business marketing vendor. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Saint Louis University.

• Kim Mace, Global Education Network Director

  

  Kim Mace has more than 15 years experience in project management, education and meeting planning, financial management, and communications. She has worked for several national healthcare organizations in the Washington, DC area. Kim's educational background includes curriculum development, program accreditation, staff liaison to education committees, and program financial management. She also implemented an online learning program and initiated the process to obtain Manuscript Review CME credit for The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. Kim received her bachelor's degree from George Mason University and is a fluent in Spanish.

• Pooja Mehrotra, Education Editor

  Pooja is a development editor and project manager with experience in editorial management, content development, research, and business development. Her background includes conceptualization of creative print and online educational products and symposia at national/state chapter conferences, writing and submitting proposals for funding, and executing projects from start to completion. As part of a medical education set up, she has collaborated internally with medical writers, copy editors, and graphic designers, and externally with key opinion leaders, CME/CE providers, and pharmaceutical companies. She has received a Masters of Science in Physics from St. Stephen’s College.
  
  

• Sylvia Milton, Education Services Representative

  

  Sylvia Milton has worked at NAEMT since 2004. She provides administrative support to NAEMT's education programs, and assists our network of course sites and instructors to ensure the delivery of high-quality continuing education to our students. She previously worked for Fannie Mae Mortgage Loan company and Virginia College. Sylvia studied Business Administration at Belhaven College and received her Associate's Degree in Computerized Office Technology from Antonelli College, graduating with honors.

• Tammie W. Patterson, Membership Development Manager

  Tammie Patterson joined the NAEMT team in 2009. As Membership Development Manager, Patterson supports the association's activities to recruit and retain members, conducting outreach to EMS agencies and NAEMT training centers. She works with NAEMT’s Membership Committee and manages our membership coordinator network. Prior to joining NAEMT, Tammie served as a payroll and scheduling specialist at American Medical Response. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Hinds Community College in Mississippi, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi.

• Jody Phillips, Education Services Representative

  

  Jody Phillips joined the NAEMT staff in 2013. He provides administrative support to NAEMT’s education programs and assists NAEMT’s network of regional and state coordinators for each of our education programs. Prior to working at NAEMT, Jody worked as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher and EMT for American Medical Response. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, and is a Nationally Registered EMT.

• Sandra Raber, Corporate Sales Manager

  Sandra Raber is responsible for expanding NAEMT's Corporate Partner Program and building relationships with organizations within the EMS Industry. Sandra has been working with NAEMT since April 2017. She has devoted much of her career to advertising and as an entrepreneur. She has more than 35 years of experience as a national sales director and has a strong understanding of hiring, training and developing successful sales teams, infrastructure, and back support. Sandra has worked with the revenue streams of major supermarket partners around the world through B2B sales and has helped strengthen supermarkets within their communities. Sandra holds an Associates degree in Business from Adelphi University Garden City, N.Y.

• Keshia Robinson, Service Center Manager

  

  Keshia Robinson is the Assistant Business Manager for NAEMT. She has been with the association since 1999 and is responsible for managing association meeting logistics, and coordinating NAEMT’s financial and administrative processes. Keshia coordinates and executes the functions of NAEMT Service Center. She holds an Associate's Degree in Human Resource Management from Virginia College, and Computerized Office Technologies from Antonelli College.

• Kathleen Taormina, Marketing and Media Director

  

  Kathleen Taormina is responsible for the association’s corporate and member communications, social media, marketing and media relations. With more than 15 years of association management experience, Kathleen's career focus has been in the areas of healthcare and technology. She previously worked for the American Pharmaceutical Association and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, and has provided communications and marketing services to several other associations and organizations. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Michigan State University.

• Melissa Trumbull, Programs and Initiatives Director

  

  Melissa Trumbull has worked with NAEMT since 2009, providing a variety of services throughout the organization. She currently supports NAEMT’s programs and initiatives (EMS.3.0, EMS Workforce, EMS Disaster Preparedness, and Military Relations) as well as NAEMT’s grassroots advocacy program and Affiliate Advisory Council. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit association management, Melissa has expertise in healthcare, first responders, government relations, grassroots advocacy, program/project management. She previously worked at Association and Society Management International, Inc. (ASMII) and provided association management services to Advocates for EMS (AEMS), the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), the National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO), and the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC). She holds a Bachelor's Degree from State University of New York College at Brockport. Melissa has also served on many Boards in leadership roles within her community.
