Aug 12, 2009

NAEMT has hired Melissa M. Trumbull as Membership and Development Outreach Manager. She will begin work in the position on August 17. Trumbull will develop relationships and negotiate agreements with state EMS associations, other related national organizations, public and private EMS services, and suppliers of EMS products and services to increase membership and revenues for the association.

Prior to her position with NAEMT, she most recently worked for Association and Society Management International, Inc. (ASMII) as the Staff Executive for Advocates for EMS (AEMS), and a Program Manager for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), the National Association of State EMS Officials, and the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC). Trumbull’s areas of expertise include organizational and membership outreach, building partnerships and strategic alliances, meeting and conference planning, fundraising and sponsorship development, development and management of educational programs, board governance and policy development.

Trumbull holds a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York College at Brockport and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), having recently been appointed to ASAE's Association Advance America committee.

Trumbull plans to help the association achieve its membership and revenue goals. “I look forward to being part of such a dynamic organization that represents all EMS practitioners and is an advocate for the EMS profession,” says Trumbull. “The opportunity afforded to support the NAEMT Board, staff and members in advancing the association’s mission and vision is exciting!”
