Today, the House of Representatives passed the Public Safety Officers' Benefits Improvements Act (H.R. 4018) by a voice vote.

Previously, the House had approved it, also by voice vote. In addition to making technical improvements to the PSOB program, H.R. 4018 would extend coverage under the program to paramedics and EMTs employed by a nongovernmental, non-profit EMS agency. This issue has been a top legislative priority for NAEMT and the American Ambulance Association.
