NAEMT’s Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) program has formally adopted the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Pediatric for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), Third Edition textbook as the required text, beginning with the release of the third edition of EPC.  The EPC Committee determined that this textbook provides the very best science available on pediatric prehospital emergency care, and should serve as the medical foundation for our program. The EPC committee has been hard at work preparing for the third edition of EPC. “EPC 3.0” will utilize the teaching philosophy and methodologies which distinguish our course, along with the medical principles found in the PEPP textbook, and some of the most recent peer reviewed literature available to the pediatric medical & trauma community.
