American Heart Association Accepting Applications for Cardiac Arrest and Resuscitation Research Grants

May 26, 2016

The American Heart Association (AHA) is now accepting grant applications for cardiac arrest and resuscitation research.  Grants range in amounts from $51,000 to $231,000 and will be awarded in two major science classifications: Basic Science; Clinical Science; and Population/Health Services Science.

All grant applications will be peer-reviewed. Deadlines to submit applications begin July 26, 2016 and run through August 16, 2016. Specific deadlines can be found on heart.org/grants.

Investigators or members of a professional society who may want to apply can find more information on heart.org/grants. For additional questions about the application process, applicants may contact apply@heart.org or 214-360-6107.

Since 1949 the American Heart Association has spent more than $3.4 billion on basic, clinical and population research to enhance knowledge about cardiovascular disease and stroke. The financial investment has increased substantially over the past 60 years in an effort to improve the services provided to volunteers and grant applicants.
