Two years ago, in an effort to encourage innovative EMS practices in state and local systems, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) co-sponsored the
Promoting Innovation in EMS Project.
The project's leaders convened a diverse steering committee and gathered input from stakeholders. Through this process, the committee identified barriers to innovation in EMS and proposed ways to overcome those obstacles. Now they're looking for your input again.
A
draft of the Promoting Innovation in EMS final report is available for public comment until August 30, 2016. Feedback, edits and examples are all welcome for consideration in the final publication, and can be submitted
online.
