NAEMT and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Support the Annual Congressional Charity Basketball Game

Sep 28, 2017

On Tuesday, Sept. 26, NAEMT members from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue stood ready to respond at the 2017 charity basketball game that pits a bipartisan team of members against a team of lobbyists. This annual event raises money for the Hoops for Youth Foundation, which helps at-risk local children in the D.C. community. The Fairfax County EMS practitioners also provided CPR training for Members of Congress, staff, and attendees. Another team of staffers played lobbyists in a separate game.

Last year’s member game was postponed until November after a Senate staffer collapsed during the staffer-lobbyist game and later died.

A sincere and special thank you to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crew for their participation and excellent work.
