On April 25, NAEMT sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan requesting that S. 1692/H.R. 1037 be placed on the House and Senate calendars for a floor vote. Introduced by Sen. Christopher Coons (D-DE) and Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA), the bills seek to create a commemorative EMS Memorial to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. NAEMT supports the efforts of the National EMS Memorial Foundation to pass these bills that will help establish a commemorative work in the District of Columbia and its environs to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s EMS practitioners.
