Legislation Requiring Employers to Implement Workplace Violence Prevention Plan Passes House

On April 16, the U.S. House Passed H.R. 1195, the Workplace Violence and Social Services Act.  NAEMT supported passage of this legislation. This bill directs the Secretary of Labor to create a national standard requiring that healthcare and social service employers develop and implement a comprehensive workplace violence prevention plan.  Although it has passed the House, it has not yet been introduced in the Senate.
