September is National Preparedness and National Sepsis Awareness Month

Sep 01, 2022

National Preparedness Month – A Lasting Legacy is this year's theme for National Preparedness Month to increase awareness and community engagement in preparedness actions to take at home, work, business, school, and place of worship. Ready.gov and the U.S. Census Bureau have created materials to help our communities be informed and prepared for disasters.

National Sepsis Awareness Month – Every two minutes someone dies from sepsis in the U.S., according to the Sepsis Alliance. To help raise awareness of the early recognition and care of this life-threatening condition, NAEMT has partnered with the Alliance to provide the EMS profession with sepsis educational resources and training. There are educational webinars available for healthcare providers, as well as an EMS Training Module.
